Dedicated to the memory of Elspeth Wallace

In memory of Elspeth/ Mum. A celebration of her life and achievements. She will be missed. I will add to this page over the next few days but in the meantime please share your memories of her and we will celebrate her in style.

I would like to say a special thank you to Fredrica and Maureen who were like daughters to Mum and who visited her constantly especially in the last few years when she was so poorly. She loved you both to bits. Thank you too, to our wonderful neighbours; Pauline, Margaret and Hilary whose friendships meant so much to her. Carol, your friendship was incredibly important to Mum, the work you did together to improve the village was phenomenal even when you were not getting the support or recognition you deserved from the Parish Council.

Thank you to our amazing care company "There to Care" outstanding carers led by Jenna with such compassion and empathy. To the district nurses and Schoolhouse Surgery especially Dr Maurice, thank you, not only for the care you gave Mum, but to me too.

Elspeth Wallace / Mum was a force of nature. She was passionate and loyal and steadfast. She worked tirelessly to raise money for the RNLI and as both a Parish and County Councillor she fought to improve services in Disley and Bollington. Mum never needed to follow the pack. If not doing so made her unpopular it made no difference as long as she was doing what she believed was right.

I am incredibly proud of her and hope I have as much integrity and passion for living life to the full as she did. She is loved and deeply missed.
